5,000 % Girl

Today is Friday, well, as I post it is actually Saturday morning. Anyway, my weekend began at 5 p.m. on Thursday. I love the weekends. Who doesn't? I had no set agenda for Friday except for 1) sleeping in, 2) prolonged time with Jesus, and 3) girl time with Nina (Christina White) and Jess (Jessica Hughes).

When I got home from "girl time", I realized that I felt 5,000 % girly. This is not an every day occurence for me. Tonight, we indulged ourselves with manicure/pedicures. I can count on one, now freshly polished hand, how many times I have done this. Never, was it for indulgence. Well, perhaps it was, but it was to indulge the bride whose wedding I was currently in. For Christina, this was her first pedicure. The three of us, each so similar on heart levels, and each so different in expression of personality, chose 3 wildly different colors. Jess, "cherry chick flick", Nina, a lovely brownish hippy shade, and me, "Lincoln Park After Dark." I had my mind set on a deep purple. The name sold me. I feel young and wild and mysterious. All through my polished nails. Hmm...

We then went to Moe's and got "Streakers", the healthy, naked and fancy free version of a burrito. Did you know that you can find and build your own little meal with a nutritional calculator on their site? Only look here if you enjoy knowing exactly what you're consuming.

Finally, we let Nicholas Sparks string our hearts along in Dear John.

Who have I become, I am not quite sure.
But tonight, I believe, I am 5,000 % girl.

And I must confess, it was kinda fun.
