This morning, mom and I visited Park Street Church in downtown Boston, per a friend's recommendation. I loved it. From the liturgy to the hymns to the beautiful baby, Annabelle, baptized, to the many young faces mixed in with the many old faces, to the disabled scattered throughout the sanctuary, to the internationals, to the huge budget going towards international missions (40%), to the hour long sermon. Afterwards, mom and I went to Stephanie's on Newbury, a bistro that a friendly lady recommended to me one of my first days here. I ordered the best salad I have ever eaten, a warn goat cheese and pear salad. Delicious!

Then, mom and I strolled through the Boston Commons once more, observing folks playing Quidditch and Ultimate in costume.
We then went on a guided tour of The Freedom Trail. I felt like a schoolgirl, with all of my US History facts coming back, slowly pulled from their dormancy in the back of my brain.
On this trip, I have contemplated future careers. Get ready, I am ambitious. I would love to be a barista at Starbucks and do web/publication design on the side, I would love to buy groceries for people (Peabody Grocery Delivery here gave me the great idea), I would love to be a tour guide of Orchard House or the Freedom Trail, and I would love to teach US History, preferably to 5th-8th grades. I do not imagine that I would have the gusto to make a career change in the foreseeable future, but, at least I am dreaming. The Freedom Trail was fascinating. Following this, mom and I ate and then started home. We treated ourselves to some yummy desserts from the Whole Foods Market next to our B&B, and now I am about to pack for the trek home tomorrow. This blog will most likely lay dormant for a while after vacation, but for this week, I have enjoyed it immensely.
